Sauna and hot tub by the sea – The Holm seaside sauna, suitable for year-round use, was completed in spring 2021 and now there is also a hot tub permanently next to the sauna.
For a Finn, a sauna is a church, a pharmacy, a spa and a youth center, says Juha Nirkko, an archivist at the Finnish Literature Society.
Whether you are enjoying a family holiday or a fishing trip, the evening is of course crowned by a sauna. If you have already had sauna at your own villa, you can also choose a suitable rental sauna for your company just for variation.
The Holm seaside sauna seats six people. The spacious terrace with a roof also has a gas grill, and the sauna room has a refrigerator and coffee maker. From the Holm sauna, you can reach the swimming pier with clean feet along the boardwalk.
It is worth staying at Merikoivula for a night or two, as guests of the holiday village have access to a tennis courts, a football and volleyball court, a fitness corner and children’s playgrounds. Sports equipment is also available and is free for residents to use. There are also opportunities for horse riding and golf nearby.
It takes about 45 minutes to heat up the sauna and about three hours to heat up the hot tub. We provide water, firewood and lighting equipment, and there is a water thermometer in the barrel. For an additional fee, we can heat the hot tub for you and the sauna along with it.
