MERIKOIVULA WELCOMES BICYCLISTS!

Since 2024 we became bicycle friendly Bikeland destination as bicycling in the Archipelago has became more and more popular. Keeping bikers in mind, we made reservations for one night possible in the cottages, and so far there is only one specially equipped cottage. When booking, please mention that you are a cyclist, so we can take it into account.

As a bicycle friendly Bikeland destination, there are washing hoses and tools according to Bikeland.FI requirements, as well as washing equipment and an extension cord for charging the electric bike. A sturdy loop hook is attached to the lower beam of the terrace for locking the bike. You need tools, please contact us and we will help you.

The nearest bike repair shop is Ugin Pyörä and there are two bike rental companies: VisitUusikaupunki and Santtioranta Camping.

The distance to Eurovelo route EV10 is 17 km and The Archipelago’s Trail is 27 km, but of course there are other cycling routes, such as Velhoveden Rengastie(Round trail). It’s easy to filter “Pedestrian and bicycle paths” on the Uusikaupunki map.

The nearest grocery store is located in the center of Lokalahti, K-Market Lokalahti.

Accommodation for cyclists also for one night: a Summer Cottage

The cyclists friendly cottage has 1.5 floors, built in 1985 and improved in 2020, offers comfortable accommodation for up to four people. On the first floor there is a sofa that can be opened, the loft can accommodate two people on mattresses. The kitchenette has a microwave, kettle, refrigerator, electric stove, sink and filter coffee maker. There are a total of six Summer Cottages, all of them have a terrace and a dome grill and coals ready. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are always included in the price.

The residents of the cottages can take a shower in the building, completes in 2012 behind cottages 3 and 4. There are showers for men and women and also two toilets.

The cottages can be booked for one night, the larger Villas, Villa Holm and Cottage Holm are available for minimum two nights.

• Check-out at 12:00 at the latest
• Use of a free rowing boat is free of charge, if reserved in advance it costs 20€/day.
• Parking in the yard of the house
• Smoking is prohibited in all buildings
• A maximum of two small pets are allowed upon prior registration and for an additional fee
• Dome grill, 1 bag of charcoal and lighting equipment.
• The price includes: bed linen, towels and final cleaning. Please note that the final cleaning service does not include washing the dishes or taking the garbage out to our recycling station
• From spring to autumn, the seaside sauna at the party- and meeting room is in shared use for the guests of Summer Cottages every day from 6:30 P.M. to 10 P.M., unless it is booked for a special event. The additional charge is 20€ per house per day. Please notify our hostess by SMS about the intention to use sauna latest 3 P.M. on the same day.
