Motorboat rental agreement and rental conditions

A prerequisite for renting a boat is the completion and submission of a rental agreement.

By submitting the form at the end of the page, the renter confirms that he has read, understood and accepted all the terms and conditions and has also presented them to his fellow passengers.

MOTORBOAT RENTAL AGREEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

LESSEE: Person listed on the contract form

Due to the demanding rocky seabed, the motorboats are intended for use by experienced boaters.

 

1. Leased property:

The Lessor leases and the Lessee takes into temporary use a motorboat:

  Tuna 422cc (aluminum, motor 20 hp Mercury, Garmin GPS, oars, year of manufacture 2020)

    Kasse 320 (green plastic, motor 4 hp Mercury, oars, year of manufacture 2020)

  Kasse 455-R (white plastic, motor 6 hp Mercury, oars, year of manufacture 2026)

 

2. Terms and rental period

Full day 8:00-20:00, half day 8:00-13:00 or 15:00-20:00

The rental period begins at the time agreed in the rental agreement and ends when the Boat is returned in accordance with the Rental Agreement. The time taken to hand over the boat, the accompanying user guide and return is included in the rental period.

 

3. Obligations of the Lessee

The Lessee is obliged to:

3.1. To inspect the boat for technical or mechanical failures upon receipt. If they occur, they  must be recorded.

3.2. To use their own life-saving equipment (life jacket) or the equipment provided by the Lessor.

3.3. To use the boat only for personal trips (not to pass it on to third parties);

3.4. To be liable for any damage caused to him or her, third parties, and the boat because of an accident, collision, or filling with water.

3.5. To use the boat in accordance with the technical instructions.

3.6. Not to use alcoholic beverages or drugs while steering the boat.

3.7. Always attach the motorboat securely and correctly to the floating dock using 4 points (Tuna) or 3 points (Kasse and rowing boats)

3.8. At the end of the day, refuel the motorboat from the spare canister provided and raise the engine to the upper position, i.e., the propeller is out of the water for checking. Clean the boat of any debris and bring the spare canister to the boathouse to be filled again.

3.9. Return and hand over the boat to the staff clean and on time at the end of the rental period, return the borrowed fishing equipment and life jackets clean to the boathouse;

3.10 At the end of the rental period, send a message to +358 440 872 875 regarding the boat number, arrival time, fuel level and condition, and leave the boat key in your accommodation building (place of stay).

 

4. Obligations of the Lessor

4.1. The lessor is obliged to provide the lessee with a boat that is technically and mechanically in good condition. If the boat has technical or mechanical defects, they must be recorded.

4.2. The Lessor provides 10 liters (Tuna 422cc) and/or 5 liters (Kasse) of petrol per boat per day.

4.3. The Lessor is obliged to provide technical guidance on the use and operation of the boat and on safety.

4.4. Lessor is obliged to provide life-saving equipment (life jackets).

4.5. After the signing of this Agreement, the Lessor is obliged to make the boat available to the Lessee for the term specified in this Agreement.

 

5. Other terms and conditions and liability of the parties

 5.1. In the event of a breach of clauses 3.3, 3.6, 3.7, 3.6 of this Agreement, the owner has the right to immediately suspend or terminate this Agreement.

5.2. In the circumstances described in clauses 3.4 above, the price of spare parts, repairs, and transportation shall be calculated in accordance with the estimates of the official resellers of floating equipment operating in Uusikaupunki and/or any other nearby location.

5.3.  The LESSEE is fully liable for the damage or injuries caused to himself/herself or to third parties by the leased property during the term of the Agreement.

5.4. Persons under the influence of alcohol (if necessary, to be checked with a breathalyzer), drugs, or minors are not allowed to drive the boat.

5.5. This Agreement shall enter into force upon signature. This Agreement is drawn up in duplicate, one for each party.

The boat rental agreement is considered concluded and binding when this form below has been completed and submitted.

  • Before you go out on the water, you should always know who the boat captain is. On a boat, responsibility for operations rests with one person at a time, the captain. There must be a captain on all watercraft, including rowing boats. The captain of a boat can be anyone who is of sufficient age, ability and skill in boating, and the attitude of a responsible boater.
